Balance and Flow

Balance and Flow is one of the original zen designs.
It played with the idea of using negative and positive space to create art that would accentuate the relaxing feeling of a well-loved garden.

This sculpture features a flat sheet of circular metal. The circle is bisected with a gentle curve of negative space, accompanied by several cut-out circles. All are framed with bent metal sheet or rescues of cut-off tubes. The framing adds attention and helps to contrast the metal from the negative spaces around it.

This piece is fun to enjoy with others as a contemplation.
